Writing
How vain it is to sit down to write when you have not stood up to live.

Published Fiction
I used to write a lot of fiction. Some of it was interesting enough that the good people at SofaWolf Press wanted to pay me for it! I would have been just as happy to do it for free, but who am I to throw free money away?
My fiction falls under the "anthropomorphic" genre. I use animals that act like humans to portray different characteristics of humanity. This is an often under-represented genre in the more mainstream fiction varieties such as sci-fi and fantasy writing. Every once in a while you'll come across an animal-person, but I have never seen an author actually take advantage of their animal traits to say something about humanity. I strive for making their animal nature meaningful to the story, rather than simply making them unique.
Anyway, the folks at SofaWolf do a good job picking stories for their magazine, and I've been featured in their Anthrolations magazine as the cover story for issues 2 and 4. Someday, I hope my writer's block will lift and I'll be able to write for them again. In the meanwhile, pick up a copy. They're fun and cheap.
Unpublished Fiction
For every published story an author writes, there are a hundred other stories that never made it. Normally I don't distribute these, but in the future I might put some of the better ones up.
If you like what was published, drop me a line to let me know! An appreciative reader is a great way to inspire someone to write some more.
Articles and Opinions
I love being opinionated. I also love being right (not the dubyah kind of "right", of course). Most of the time, when I'm being opinionated, I'm not writing it down. Every once in a while, I get the urge to really store the thought. When I do, it gets dumped here. Enjoy!
